Our training begins with courses that can be applied toward a B.A. in Labor Studies. Tri-Counties Sheet Metal Apprenticeship's sponsored SMACNA program lasts up to 5 years and requires a minimum of 800 classroom training hours and 8,000 hours of on the job training.
Tri-Counties Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Program trains hundreds of quality craftsmen, offering industry-specific curriculum including heating, ventilating,
air-conditioning, architectural and industrial sheet metal, kitchen equipment, specialty stainless steel work, custom fabricating, service, siding and metal roofing, testing and balancing and energy management and maintenance.
SMACNA Apprentices are instructed in the following curriculum at our modern facility:
- Pattern Making and Layout
- Drafting (CAD)
- Sheet Metal Trade Mathematics
- Radial and Parallel Line Development
- Triangulation
- Architectural Sheet Metal
- Safety Training
- First-Aid and CPR
- Proper Duct Design Installation Procedures
